Possessiveness Humbly I wish to contradict Buddha who advocated Renunciation. A blasting statement? eh ! Please continue to read and find out whether this concept is justifiable. I f we follow the concept of 'no desire, no wishes ' lifestyle ,just sit awhile closed eyes imagining a world full of sages roaming around and people who have no wishes, no aims, living a life of prayer.Sure.It will be a land of robots. so Have Desires. BE POSSESSIVE. Possessiveness can be bifurgated into POSITIVE POSSESSIVENESS and NEGATIVE POSSESSIVENESS. Be Possessive.But Be Positive [ B+ ] One should have the right kind of possessiveness [ and you should religiously ],and this will help a human to be humane , and enables him to play the role of friend, philosopher and guide.You motivate your dears,encourage them,help them,serve them. And your nearness gives them comfort, safety and security.A sense of belongingness,which all human beings crave for at the heart of hearts. Be it demon or devil, every creature needs to belong. A LONGING for BELONGING. It will be quite apt to recall the Lord Shiva crying once for not having a mother and not getting the tender , affectionate hands holding him and caring him.If it's so for the Lord of LORDS ,it goes without saying that all creatures need to be possessive. [Take care not to be possessed ] What are the consequences of Negative possessiveness.Renounce this if you are determined to follow Buddha. This leads to all sort of family problems.The negatively possessed would want the life partner to be "mine and mine "only attitude which leads to all sorts of estrangements.If your wife has that kind of possessiveness,[ will it be synonomically right to say skewed ], the man is not allowed to perform the role of a sun, a brother,a friend and an employee.All will have to lose their peace. Leave that apart. Come back right to the right kind of possessiveness and belongingness which develops a bonding which is imperative .So inculcate this ,develop this and feel proud to be a character of possessiveness.
