Academic projects

Travel Planner C#

The software provides the functionality for manipulation of maps generated using an allied Map Generation Program. The user can plan his travel based on time and distance constraints. The project is founded upon Dijkstra's Shortest Path Algorithm and Travelling Salesman Problem.

Signature Recogniser Matlab

The project uses a Stroke-based approach for recognition of the signatures, where the signatures are trained as a series of strokes in a chain-code format. The concept of Dynamic Programming is used in the matching of signatures.

Multilingual Keyboard Simulator 8086 Assembly

This project realises the advantages provided by the Unicode encoding standard and the inherent capabilities of the browsers to display multi-lingual content. This enables the creation of multi-lingual web-pages that does not require installation of any fonts or special software.

Network Carrom Board Java

This is the implementation of the classic game of Carrom-board that can be played over a network by two persons in real-time.

Fractal Mountain Generation C

This Graphics-project generates a random mountain-scape continuously for application in games like Flight Simulators. The project implements it using Fractal Curves for 2-D landscape and the report discusses the changes required for a 3-D implementation.

English - Tamil Transliterator Visual Basic

This software was developed using the concepts of Compiler Design - Parsing and Lexical Analysis to generate documents in Tamil using the conventional English keyboard.
