About Me

My life is the sum of the reminder of an unbalanced equation inherent to the programming of the Matrix.
I am the anomaly.

The Monk who sold his Ferrari

A book,a statue or any object is viewed differently by different people.
for example, there is a beautiful rose in the garden.
a vendor looks at it and starts calculating about selling it for rs.5 or 10 and the profit.
A lover sees it and he wishes to take it as a present to his ladylove.
An artist admires its beauty and wants to draw it.
An entrepreneur sees it and thinks of starting a perfume factory.
Like that this book'the monk who sold his Ferrari' read by millions would have appealed to many in many ways.most of the readers perceived it as a book on yoga and Sivana.
BUT to me it appealed entirely different. Many might have missed the underlying sad story of a father losing his only daughter ,driving to the extreme end of immersing himself in his career, failing health-heart attack-selling his property-to Himalayas-Sivana.
Now ,i would like to quote some passages from the book.Read them. Then take the book again ,read and see the difference.
"please don't die old fool. It's too early for you to check out.You don't deserve to die like this"
2)He confided that he could no longer sleep for more than a couple of hours.
3)It was as if he had some kind of death wish.He was driving himself deeper into the ground.
4)At 53 years of age,Julian looked as if he was in his late 70s..his face was a mass of wrinkles.
5)***HE HAD LOST HIS SENSE OF HUMOUR AND NEVER SEEMED TO LAUGH ANYMORE.
6)Julian's once enthusiastic nature had been replaced byb a deathly somberness.I think his life has lost all sense of purpose....Almost everyday he would tell me that he felt no passion for what he was doing and was enveloped by emptiness.
he had suffered some great tragedy...something truly unspeakable.
And the mystery unfolds in chapter 13
The drunk driver who killed my daughter did not take away only one PRECIOUS life..he took TWO. After my daughter's passing my life unravelled.I started spending every waking minute in the office,FOOLISHLY HOPING that my legal career might be the slave for the pain of a broken heart.Sometimes I slept on the couch in my office dreading to return to the home where so many sweet memories had been laid to rest.
Even after 27 years after she left us while we were driving our car to her best friend's birthday party ,I WOULD DO ANYTHING just to hear my daughter giggle again.I would love to hold her in my arms and softly caress her golden hair.
And though my life has been inspired by a new meaning since i found the way to enlightenment and self leadreship in SIVANA a day does not pass without me seeing the rosy face of my sweet little girl in the silent theater of my mind,...YOU have such GREAT KIDS ..John"
My feeling is ...the main plot is the sad story and yoga and Sivana is the sub-plot.right?????
